Heat-Pressed vs Stitched Namesets
Retail jerseys use either heat-pressed or stitched namesets depending on the league and season. Heat-pressed sets have a smooth, integrated look but can peel if washed improperly. Stitched sets are more durable but bulkier and can chafe during active wear.

Badge and Patch Quality Checklist
Examine the crest under magnification if possible. Thread density, color saturation, and edge sharpness should match retail photos. League patches should have correct holographic or textured elements. Sponsor logos must be aligned horizontally with the crest and vertically centered on the chest.
Sleeve patches are often applied crooked or too high. Use a ruler in the QC photo to check alignment against the sleeve seam. A one-centimeter offset is visible to trained eyes.
Wash Care for Longevity
Turn jerseys inside out before washing. Use cold water and a gentle detergent without bleach or enzymes. Hang dry flat or on a rounded hanger. Never tumble dry, as heat degrades adhesive and can shrink polyester mesh panels.
If a heat-pressed nameset begins to lift at the corners, reattach it with a pressing cloth and medium heat rather than waiting for full detachment. Stitched sets should be inspected for loose threads every few washes.
